Affordable Celebrity Lines
You may have heard of a little line by the name of Missoni for Target? It's showing up everywhere. Every magazine I have mentions it somewhere, many a celebutante has been seen wearing it around town. Don't just take my word for it check out the image above. If you're interested you better get up off that couch and head to your local Target store before it's sold out. It launched September 13th. Don't hate me but I can honestly say I'm not a fan of the patented Missoni stripe. It's not my thing. I generally do not like the colors that they use and the pattern is just too busy for my every day life. Sue me!
Missoni might not be my thing by JLo certainly is. Have you checked out her line at Kohls? Killer! I love the ads so I had to check it out in person. I have to say I'm a little bummed. The stuff didn't seem to be nearly as high quality I was hoping for the prices. JLo and the models look good in the ads but up close I think the clothes look cheap and don't feel as luxurious as they should for the price point. Ditto for Marc Anthony's men's line. That's just proof that you can't make luxury items on the cheap, it negates their elegance and overall feel.
Christian Siriano for Payless might be more up your alley. I have a huge shoe fetish and I can't help but love Christian, he's so cute. The more affordable line is cute and all but I'm head over heels (no pun intended!) for the Gold Collection. Aren't these booties super hot? If you stay pretty true to one size you can order them online here and pay only $5.95 shipping every day. How great is that? I just ordered a tee from OldNavy.com (certainly lighter than a hot pair of booties) and paid $8, ditto for another super lightweight purchase I made recently. At $69.99 these boots are still affordable and they're both edgy and classic at the same time. You could wear these for years to come.
Another line I really want to check out is Jessica Simpson's. I have some cute tights that I picked up at TJ Maxx but I want more stuff. I love the shoes she makes but I haven't seen any in person to pick them up. I absolutely adore the promotional pictures I've seen this fall. Jess looks fab, so what if she's put on a little weight, she still looks better than most people! Am I right? Give the girl some slack, she runs a BILLION dollar company. Sheesh! Someday I'll have to do a post with the items I covet from the line, it's sure to be a good one.
What about you? Any celeb lines I just have to check out? Do tell in the comments.

Alloy Fashion Footwear Continued Again....
Finally, I have a few more Alloy Catalog shoes to share with you, this time it's a mixed bag of stilettos and cute non-boots. I can't get enough of the cute footwear in this catalog, if you haven't already you should sign up for the catalog (or be green and browse the website). The site isn't just a shopping site, there's a lot of fun content I could easily get lost in if I just let myself.
The Oxford Stiletto 170086 is a bootie-lite, a cute wool oxford with a 4 1/2 inch heel. These shoes aren't my normal style but I'm loving them and imagining mixing them with a cute menswear ensemble. I can see gray wool pants and a black blazer over a patterned blouse. I know, overactive imagination. They also come in chestnut detailing and navy blue wool but those are a little too retro for my taste. These are available in sizes 6-10.
Another great fall choice is the Bailey Stiletto 170106. At $29.90 these are about the best deal out there. You could wear these gray suede pumps with anything, any season with weatherproofing. They're pretty and you can also pick them up in black patent. Perfecto!
Lately all the fashionistas have traded their black pumps for nude and why not? They make the legs look a mile long, creating an unbroken line from your hem to the ground. They're great for thicker ankles because there's no separation between skin and shoe. For pale girls like me there's the Coco Stiletto (169431) in Nude. It also comes in black also with a cork sole. J'dore cork soles, they're so lightweight and cute. These 5 1/2 inch heels will make me tower over my medium height hubby but if he's got no insecurities about it why should I? Bonus- They're on sale for $24.90, down from $36.90. These are a great evening shoe year round.
If you're in the market for a budget version of the YSL Iconic may I suggest the Cai Heel 170060. These shoes are available in brown (pictured) and taupe. While I'm so pasty I could probably use the pale taupe as a nude I think the brown would be great for darker skintones. What do you think? These heels are classy and a little shorter at only 4 inches with a 1 1/2 platform. These are the ideal shoes to be both fashionable and reasonably comfortable.
If you're not the black/brown/nude shoe girl (I'm usually not) I can't say enough great things about the Julia Heel 170743. While it comes in a natural black-white snakeskin print I'm obsessed with the colorful multi style. Orange and blue, so pretty. I'd probably remove the ankle strap to wear with dresses but keep it for stability when wearing some 70s inspired flares or wide-leg jeans. Sexy!
And perfect for transition into fall is the Jade Wedge 169107. I'm seeing visions of this shoe pared with thick black tights, preferably patterned, all winter long. How cute is that. These platforms are substantial but they'd work in the evening in warmer months. I'm not sure I can pick between the gray suede or the black faux leather. Both are perfect. I'd probably rock the gray mostly in the summer and early fall and keep the black for the rest of the year. These puppies are on sale for $24.90 but if you want them hurry and scoop them up, they're going fast. Not to worry there's a very similar style on the site, probably a replacement.
What do you think? Would you wear any of these? Do you have any Alloy shoes and what did you think of them? Can't wait to hear all about it.

Alloy Fashion Footwear Continued....
In the spirit of the season I wanted to share with you some cute booties. It's time to start thinking about your fall wardrobe so you can have the best selection and make sure you get all the essentials before they're sold out everywhere. As a plus sized chica I like to go straight for the shoes, you can never be too fat for a fabulous pair of booties. Here's the best that the Alloy Catalog has to offer. I'm ready to pick up a pair or two to keep me looking stylish this fall and winter. How sad is it that I don't own a single pair of booties?
First up is the Bella Bootie 170067. They come in black velvet, brown leopard and gray leopard and I'm definitely partial to the gray. These are so cute and chic looking both classy and fun at the same time. I love the hidden platform, it makes the style that much more comfortable to wear day in and day out. Unlike most other Alloy shoes this one is only available in sizes 6-10. I'm not a big fan of booties with skirts, I'd wear these with jeans or full length leggings.
I can't decide how I feel about the Tristan Bootie 170068. On one hand I love the wedge heel, the suede material and the great nude and basic black shades but on the other I feel like something is missing, perhaps a peeptoe. Still, I think they're pretty cute and would look better on your foot than they do in the picture.
The Scottie Bootie 169890 is super adorable and comfy looking at the same time, my two favorite things in the world. The fabric looks like it would be warm even in the coldest of winter days and I imagine they'd be easier to walk in than a pair of 4 inch skyscrapers. These are the epitome of weatherproof chic. These are another pair that are only available in sizes 6-10.
Military influenced style has been appearing every fall for the last few years and this year appears to be no different. How cute would your cargo pants of utility jacket look with Alloy's Wyatt Bootie 170072? They come in Taupe (pictured) and Olive and both are pretty cute. I had a hard time choosing between the colors but, at least in my wardrobe, taupe is going to be easier to match. I love the scrunched area above the laces and the chunky rubber sole. Just be careful, these may look like they'd be okay in the snow and ice but looks can be deceiving.
Even though the Alloy site doesn't classify the Cade Style (170066) as a bootie, it is to me. What else would you call it? I love the wooden sole and heel, the are too cute for words. I couldn't pick between the ivory and the black shades, so I pick both. Each style is versatile enough for fall, winter and even spring, they may even make cute going out shoes in the winter.
I have to know, which style is more you? Does the one that fits your personality actually appeal to you or are you lusting after another pair? The Scottie is the closest to my laid-back, comfy personality but the Bella screams to be held hostage in my closet.

Alloy Fashion Footwear
As much as I hate to admit it, I have to say fall is in the air. I live in the Northeast, we actually have seasons here and though most people celebrate fall, to me it only means one step closer to winter and that dreaded word SNOW! I can't even think about that right now.
As I was browsing through my alloy catalog scouting models for a hobby (more on that later I'm sure) I couldn't help but take notice of the cute shoes. And boots. As much as I hate to admit it I love boots. Boots mean snow and snow means not happy Jaime but I can still love cute footwear right? If you gotta deal with the snow and the cold you might as well be cute doing it. Tomorrow I'll post about the booties I found and after that the cute non-boots I also found on the site.
I could help but admire these beauties and their pricetag. At $46.90 they're actually in my price range. I love the gray shade, the to the knee style and the cute buckle detail at the top. The Alloy Caliber Boot 170081 is available in sizes 6-10 (no 9 1/2). How sexy are these?
I'm a pretty big fan of black boots but for some reason I see myself drawn to brown this year. These Mackenzie boots 170063 come in black, brown and chestnut, the shade I'm coveting myself. They retail for $49.90, come in sizes 6-11 (no 9 1/2 or 10 1/2) and they're too cute to pass up. They have the style of a flat riding boot without being flat (Jaime doesn't do flat boots!).
If you're feeling a little adventurous why not try out the Trinity style 170077? These thigh high boots come in basic black suede (they'd go with anything) and fun red suede. These are hot! I'd wear them over jeans or under a knee length or longer dress. I love the patent leather detailing at the heel and the great thigh high height. They come in sizes 5 1/2-11 (no 9 1/2, no 10 1/2) with a 4 3/4 inch heel and a 1 1/2 inch hidden platform.
Since I've featured every color but black, here's my favorite black boots the Eva Boot 170071. They also come in gray with a wooden platform and those are hella cool as well. I could see wearing these with jeans tucked into them. They come in sizes 5 1/2-11 (no 9 1/2 or 10 1/2). I love that the buckle covers the top of the heel in the back, a cute little detail that gives them something special. These are a little shorter at 4 inches.
Lastly, not exactly a bootie but not quite a boot (at least to me) the Giles Boot 169889. As you can see these only hit right above the ankle, lower than mid-shin. These are the type of boots you wear with pants or you could rock with matching tights. They come in black and brown and the cute buckle makes them look rugged. Alloy is the exlusive retailer of these boots and they carry sizes 6-11 again without 9 1/2 or 10 1/2, not sure what's up with that but I thought I'd let you know.
What do you think? Which style is more you? I'd have to go with the Caliber because I LOVE the color gray and these boots are cute and classy and would go perfectly with some of my chunky sweaters.

My New Shoes Wild Rose Kakoa 46J
You know how it is at discount stores, pretty hit or miss. Well, the thing I love about Burlington Coat Factory is that I can always find adorable, cheap shoes and I always leave the store with at least one pair. Check out my latest findings the Wild Rose Kokoa 46J. I can't find them online anywhere but they were too cute not to post about with their black and white floral pattern and glittery overspray. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like them! Besides, they were on sale for $14.99.
PS- if you spotted the toenail polish in picture 2 check out my post on Essie Aruba Blue on DOC Beauty!

Apt 9 3-pc Camden Leopard Luggage
I'm loving this $74.99 Wheeled upright, wheeled duffel and tote. Available at Kohls and Kohls.com it's seriously the perfect addition to my non-existent luggage collection. It's subtle so no need to worry about outgrowing it as you get older, this one works whether you're 15 or 50.
Adorable and perfect for girls on the go! I want this for my next trip to New Hampshire, nothing like bringing a little glamour to the mountains.
